Not only do manual traffic exchanges (TEs) offer a quick and easy way for Internet marketers to get visitors to their web pages, they are also an effective way for you to build a list of subscribers who you can develop a closer business relationship with via email newsletters.

List building is one of the key "manual traffic exchange secrets" that you will need to master if you want to profit from this low cost marketing method.

Actually, the main reason to work with traffic exchanges is to build your list more than to bring traffic to your website. Alway bear that in mind when planning to market your business on traffic exchanges.

I am not saying that you should never post your main web pages on traffic exchanges, and I'll talk about why you might want to do that a bit later. But, if you think you will be able to make sales from your website simply by posting your sales pages on a few traffic exchanges, you will be disappointed.

So it is important to consider why people surf traffic exchanges and design your campaigns around those factors. In most cases, they don't surf them to read other people's web pages but to earn credits that they can spend on getting their own pages seen on the traffic exchange. Ideally the message on your squeeze page should be targeted directly at the audience who will view it - i.e. TE surfers. With traffic exchanges it is vital that you squeeze the best possible value out of what is essentially a "cheap and cheerful" method of promoting an online business.

Typically, a manual traffic exchange audience consists of people who are looking for ways to get as much traffic to their website as possible for little or no expense. Think about how you can appeal to that need when make your pitch on your lead capture page.

Think about how you can get seen across several TEs and build up your personal brand at the same time. TE surfers might not take you up on your offer the first few times they see your page, but each time they see it, if it has your photo, or video and NAME on it, you will be impressing yourself upon them as the go-to person in your field, especially if what you offer is UNIQUE and offers a relevant solution to the typical TE surfer's problems...

Some traffic exhcanges deliver much better results than others. One of the main reasons for that is the membership. So you'll want to find out how many new members each traffic exchange attracts each week, and how much traffic each traffic exchange delivers. Popular traffic exchanges are capable of attracting a lot of new members every week, bringing hundreds of fresh eyes to your splash pages.
